Data Wranglin’
Your data – formatted, filterable, and at your fingertips.
How do you feel when you work with your org’s data? Does your heart sing or your head ache? Whether you have too much, not enough, or you just wish you could do more with it, Good Work is here to help.
The Process
We’ll collect metrics from across your organization – program outputs to board engagement and everything in between – and transform the data into useful, beautiful charts, graphs, and tables. It’s all housed in dashboards you can use internally or share as needed.
You’re gonna want to use these for everything, so we’ll provide your team with training and reference materials to help you hit the ground running.
When your dashboards need updating, you have the option to do it yourself (we’ll show you how) or let Good Work do it for you.
Demographic data for a grant application? Check.
Year over year program completion rates for a funder report? Done.
Revenue amounts categorized by type for the finance committee? Easy.
Data FAQ
We want to track new metrics. Can you help with that?
Yes! In the initial phase of the project, we’ll take inventory of everything you currently collect, and see what’s missing. From there we’ll make recommendations on how best to collect the new data going forward.
We need KPIs (key performance indicators.) Can you help with that?
Yes! The process for developing KPIs is similar in many ways to adding additional metrics. We’ll work together to identify the best metrics for tracking your organization’s health and efficacy. We may find that implementation support services should also be part of the plan, to ensure you’re set up for success.
How long does this take?
It depends on the scope of the project. Are you starting from scratch, with a couple of spreadsheets? Do you have a lot of data in a lot of places? Are there new processes we need to establish in order to collect new information? Answers to these questions and others will tell us the timeline. Most projects take between three and six months to complete.
